Which Football Player Has Scored The Most Free Kicks?

what is free kick in football?

A free kick, in football (soccer), is an unobstructed kick of a stationary ball, especially one awarded when the opposition commits a foul. Opposing players must stand at least ten feet away from the kicker.

There are two types of free kicks in football (soccer):

1. Direct Free Kick: a free kick in which a goal can be scored directly from this kick without the ball touching another player.

2. Indirect Free Kick: a free kick awarded to a player for a "less-serious" foul committed by the opposing team. A goal can only be scored on this kick after the ball has touched another player.

I hope this answers your question!

How many goals has Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real Madrid since he arrived?

I am a Madridista, who got mixed up in the numbers, he is the best amazing, never seen such a player, strong, fast, skillful, runs all the ground in 10 seconds and ends the play with a goal, this year he scored 3 goals like that. Apart from that he can score all type of goals, left foot, right foot, headers, free kicks, penalties, amazing player. Don't tell me Messi, cause Messi can be compared to Maradona, but Cristiano Ronaldo, damn he cannot be compared to no great player of the past. He is the modern football player. Since joining Real Madrid he has made 17 hat tricks, he is scoring hat tricks for fun lately at the Bernabeu, 2 consecutive hat tricks. let's hope for the third one in a row next Wednesday!

13, 284 goals.

How long will Del Piero keep playing football?

He said until 40, but I doubt he would be productive. He's my favorite all time, but I think he is getting old. The only thing he has now is his free kicks.

Del Piero looks like he could keep playing until he's 100.

He's not looking as good this season because Juve aren't performing. He's having to work harder because the rest of his team-mates aren't helping him out.

He is a great player, and when he retires we'll all appreciate him for the genius that he is. I remember seeing him in 2002 playing against Wales. He scored a free-kick (but Wales won 2-1 in the end! What a result!).

Soccer Rules?

Questions: When is it a penalty kick? When is it offside? (Do I have to kick the ball before my player can move passed the defense?) What else? When is it a "direct" vs an "Indirect" kick?

A penalty kick is a type of free kick in association football, taken from twelve yards (approximately eleven metres) out from goal and with only the goalkeeper of the defending team between the penalty taker and the goal.

A penalty kick is performed during normal play. Similar kicks are made in a penalty shootout to determine who progresses after a tied match; though similar in procedure these are not penalty kicks and are governed by different rules.

Offside is a Law in association football which effectively limits how far forward attacking players may be when involved in play. Simply put, a player cannot gain an advantage by waiting for the ball near the opposing goal with only the goalkeeper between him and the goal (only in the usual situation that the goalkeeper is the last defender).

The offside is perhaps the most complex of the football rules, and people not familiar with the game often have difficulty in understanding it, a situation not improved by recent "clarifications" to the rule.

Direct free kick
A direct free kick is a method of restarting play in a game of association football (soccer) following a foul. Unlike an indirect free kick, a goal may be scored directly against the opposing side without the ball having first touched another player.

A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team when a player commits a penal foul, for example pushing or tripping an opponent. However, if the offence was committed within the fouling team's penalty area, the kick becomes a penalty kick.

Indirect free kick
An indirect free kick is a method of restarting play in a game of association football (soccer). Unlike a direct free kick, a goal may not be scored directly from the kick.

An indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team when a player commits a foul other than a penalty foul (e.g. dangerous play) or infringes certain technical requirements of the laws (e.g. touching the ball a second time following a restart, or the keeper touching the ball with his hands when a team mate has used his foot to pass it back to the keeper). An indirect free kick is also awarded to the opposing team when play is stopped to caution or send-off a player when no specific foul has occurred (e.g. when play is stopped to caution a player for dissenting the decision of the referee). The most common cause is the offside offense.

Unlike a direct free kick, an offence punishable by an indirect free kick does not result in a penalty kick when it occurs in the penalty area, rather it continues to be taken as an indirect free kick.

how many times in nba history has a player scored 30 points in a game without a free throw attempt?

tonight derrick rose for the chicago bulls had 30 points without shooting a single free throw. this cant be very common for a player to score 30 or more points in a single game without making it to the foul line once for even an attempt. how many times prior has this happened ? when was the last time it happened ?

Its happened plenty of times. The link I have only takes into account the final end result (scored at least 30 points and had no FT attempts) since the 1986-87 season and 1991 Playoffs so its most likely that there are more players who scored 30 points without a FT attempt (i.e. scored 30 points and then had a FT attempt).

According to my source, the most points scored without a free throw attempt by the time the game ended was 48, scored by Hakeem Olajuwon.
