Well upper Egypt is represented by the by the Lotus flower. Upper Egypt is also represent by the White Crown which is long and hard to describe. Lower Egypt is represented by the red crown. They also were once separated at one times until around 3100 B.C. when king Narmer united them. Their Language was the same to what I know of maybe different slang's like the U.S. They had the same interest basically. They were also both united By one ruler after 3100 B.C. and a couple times they had different rulers only when foreigners ruled. Like the Hykos in 1663 B.C. which ruled Upper Egypt till Theban princes defeated and expelled them from Egypt to start the New Kingdom in 1550 B.C. and the Assyrian empire in 671 B.C. only ruled Egypt from as far as Memphis. I am not sure what Upper Egypt was doing. They had the same religion but different gods were represented with different areas. Seth (god of evil) was associated with lower Egypt and Horus with Upper.

How did Egypt become a kingdom?

How did Egypt become a kingdom? What happened? Please explain briefly. Please help.Thanks. =) In tagalog (for my fellow Filipinos), paano naging isang kaharian ang Ehipto? Patulong naman. Salamat. =)

Ancient Egypt along with Mesopotamia were the oldest civilizations in the world. Settlements existed in Egypt for more than 5,000 years ago. There was Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt. Egypt became a country about 3100 B.C. when King Menes of Upper Egypt conquered Lower Egypt. He then united Egypt into one kingdom with himself as Pharoah. He founded Memphis as his capital near the site of present day Cairo. This was the first of 30 Egyptian dynasties. I hope that this has been a help to you.
