This 'wajam' thingy popped up on my computer?

One day I turned on my laptop typed in something on Google search and then now its really annoying because I have to scroll down and its going slower please if you know how to take this 'wajam' thingy off please tell me, thank you!!

Hi Melissa,

Wajam is a social search engine that lets you find recommendations from your friends across social platforms when you need it. You can currently search through content from your friends shared on Facebook, Twitter and Google+, and you can see results if you choose on popular websites like Google, Bing, Wikipedia, TripAdvisor and Amazon. You can learn more about Wajam by visiting http://wajam.com

If you see Wajam in your browser, it's because you or someone using your computer installed the social search add-on. You can configure where results are displayed by logging in at http://wajam.com and going to your account settings.

If you aren't the person who installed the extension and want to remove it, you can view uninstall steps in the FAQ: http://wajam.com/faq/

Hope that helps!

How do I remove Wajam from a personal computer when it is hidden?

Somehow, Wajam has gotten on this personal computer. I thought that I had removed all of its remnants. However, there are still traces of it on the computer because I see in the browser where it has put ads in it. When I go to the control panel and then programs, there is no Wajam listed on the computer though. I am wondering whether it goes by another name. Perhaps, its' publisher is listed under a different name on the computer. Please help. Thanks!

Wajam should not be listed under any other name.
