What Does Enable Query Mean In Minecraft?

HELP WITH MINECRAFT SERVER?

My server is up and running. However, my world looks so weird. There is only water and a black sky. It seems like there is no generated world. I need help to fix this. I just want my server to have a normal looking map and i want to use the Coal seed. Here is my server setup in notepad: #Minecraft server properties #Tue Jan 31 19:40:47 CST 2012 allow-nether=true level-name=mo sto server enable-query=false allow-flight=false server-port=25565 level-type=DEFAULT enable-rcon=false level-seed=Coal server-ip=5.86.144.65 spawn-npcs=true white-list=false spawn-animals=true online-mode=true pvp=false difficulty=1 gamemode=0 max-players=20 spawn-monsters=true generate-structures=false view-distance=14 motd=mo sto server Tell me whats wrong please.

Sound's the the World is Corrupt, The Server .Properties Look Fine.

Terminate the Minecraft server.
Open the folder where your 'Minecraft_Server' File is Located..
Find and delete the folder called... World .. Then Run the Server.

Below are my Server.Properties for my Vanilla Multiplayer Server.

enable-rcon= Remote Console Connection, means you can execute server commands without being in game, good if it is set to "true".
enable-query= I don't think that I know what it does myself.
difficulty= 123456... Doubles damage given by mobs.
gamemode= 1/0 0-Survival 1-Creative
motd= text that players see when they add your server.

how do you set the max slots in a minecraft server?

i made a mincraft bukkit server and i can not change the max slots how do i?

You need a program called Notepad ++ to edit the config files, but once you do have it there should be a file in your server folder called properties or server properties (it's been a while), anyways, right click it and edit it, and the file should look like this:

#Minecraft server properties
#Sun Apr 15 20:32:13 EDT 2012
allow-nether=true
level-name=world
enable-query=false
allow-flight=true
server-port=25565
level-type=DEFAULT
enable-rcon=false
level-seed=
server-ip=
max-build-height=256
spawn-npcs=true
white-list=true
spawn-animals=true
online-mode=true
pvp=true
difficulty=1
gamemode=0
max-players=20
spawn-monsters=true
view-distance=10
generate-structures=true
motd=A Minecraft Server

Change the number of max players, save it and reload your server and you should be good.

How to Change minecraft location?

Right now my minecraft is in my C drive. But because of all the mods and texture packs i am using it fills my Cdrive up and causes lag. As a result my computer is starting to lag and my minecraft keeps running out of memory. Is there a way to transfer my minecraft from my C Drive to D Drive?

How do I protect my minecraft server without bukkit?

I made a minecraft server without bukkit. I made my spawn point but I don't know how to protect it from griefers. I can't use world edit/world guard because that is only for bukkit servers. How can I protect my server. I tried playing glow stone and doing /ps on or something like that and it doesn't work. Please help!

Well once you start up your server you should have a server.properties file right? If you don't you did something wrong but if you do then you need to open the file with any text document the easiest to use and probably already built into your computer is notepad. Once you open it it should look something like this:
generator-settings=
allow-nether=true
level-name=world
enable-query=false
allow-flight=true
server-port=25565
level-type=DEFAULT
enable-rcon=false
level-seed=
server-ip=
max-build-height=256
spawn-npcs=true
white-list=false
spawn-animals=true
snooper-enabled=true
hardcore=false
texture-pack=
online-mode=true
pvp=false
difficulty=1
enable-command-block=true
gamemode=0
max-players=2
spawn-monsters=true
generate-structures=true
view-distance=15
spawn-protection=16
motd=(You are allowed to put anything here but make sure it doesn't go over 30 letters)

Okay everything after the = sign can be changed
All you have to do is change the spawn-protection=(the radius of the place you want to protect choose as big of a radius as you want)
That's basically it and give me your minecraft server ip if you need more help
